Torrential rain caused flash flooding in parts of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Local authorities reported at least 3 people lost their lives and one missing.
A preliminary report indicated that the areas of Mnquma, Mbashe, King Sabatha Dalindyebo, Nyandeni and Port St Johns were seriously affected by the floods, In Port St Johns, as many as 10 bridges were washed away making it difficult for the members of the community to access schools and nearby facilities.
