Due to heavy rainfall, the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan has been affected by floods and mudslides.
Nine homes were flooded, five bridges were affected, and a road was cut off by flood waters. Mudflow carried by the flood reportedly swept away 23 cars. The floods affected a hospital in the area, causing 11 patients to be discharged and 4 were transferred to other facilities.
The village of Arstanbap was impacted, leaving debris and mud throughout the streets. Rescue teams are currently working to remove the debris to assist with relief operations.
